The Engineers Without Borders chapter at THE Ohio State University is the student chapter of Engineers Without Borders – USA. Our mission is to bring sustainable solutions to communities in need. The organization is currently working with two communities abroad. The first is the village of Njau in the Gambia where we have implemented an irrigation system for their crops and are looking for additional projects to further our relationship with the community. The second is the village of Carrera, Ecuador where we are working on building an addition to a school building for extra classroom space. Locally we participate in a number of volunteering opportunities such as installing irrigation systems and tree nursery structures, hosting events with After School All-Stars, and volunteering time at Habitat for Humanity.
We welcome all OSU students of any major to join our team and grow technically, culturally, and globally as we work together to provide solutions to communities to reach their basic human needs.
