Overview

DRIPPY Beans is EWB at Ohio State's active collaboration with South Side Family Farms, an urban agriculture organization serving the South Side neighborhood of Columbus. Building on previous work in the area, the team is designing and implementing interconnected systems to expand the farm's capacity and distribution reach.

The project includes an open-air market structure, cold storage system, wash-and-pack station, and sustainable agriculture infrastructure — all designed to make affordable, nutritious food more accessible to the surrounding community.

Impact

South Side Family Farms is a community anchor addressing food access challenges in central Ohio. DRIPPY Beans gives EWB members hands-on engineering experience in their own city while contributing directly to sustainable local food infrastructure and the long-term mission of the farm.
